How Mattress Brands Solved Warranty Fraud and Lost Invoices With One Scan
Two premium mattress brands turned QR-based registration into proof of ownership, settling authenticity and warranty entitlement years before a claim ever arrives.

TL;DR
- Comfort Craft and Mattressoo are two Indian mattress brands from Panipat, Haryana. Both sell products with warranties that stretch for years, but invoices and proof of ownership never last that long.
- Both brands independently reframed warranty registration as product authentication. Comfort Craft calls it "Ensure Genuine Product." Mattressoo lists "Proof of Ownership" and "Product Authentication" as customer benefits. Customers now want to register instead of skipping it.
- 3 Dyrect modules live across both brands on their own subdomains. QR scan on the product, warranty registration framed as authentication, and a branded customer portal where owners can check coverage anytime.
- The two questions that used to open every mattress warranty claim ("is this our product?" and "is this person the owner?") are now settled at the time of purchase, years before a claim ever arrives.
About Comfort Craft and Mattressoo

Comfort Craft is the flagship brand of Spine Comfort Products India. Six mattress series including Classic, Expert, Smart Hybrid, Spine Therapy, Tech Sense, and Wealthy. Plus pillows, sofa beds, and protectors. All manufactured in Panipat, Haryana.
Mattressoo sells premium orthopaedic mattresses, memory foam pillows, and a convertible sofa-cum-bed through their Shopify store. Their TrueOrtho Smart Series is approved by the All India Health Association. They publish a 10-year warranty and a 15-day risk-free trial. Also based in Panipat, Haryana.
Two separate businesses. Different products, different customers, different websites. But they arrived at the exact same conclusion about what warranty registration needs to look like in the mattress category.
The Problem With Mattress Warranties
A mattress is bought roughly once a decade. The warranty stretches for years. And the product gives its owner almost nothing to identify it with.
No serial number they have ever seen. No model code they can recite. No account. The only proof of purchase is an invoice or email confirmation that will almost certainly disappear long before the warranty expires.
Now add this. Mattresses reach buyers through retail stores, dealers, and online marketplaces. A brand's name can show up on products the brand never made. So when a claim arrives in year seven, the brand needs to answer two questions before anything else.
Is this actually our product? And is this person the actual owner?
Before Dyrect, neither brand had a reliable answer to either question.
Specifically, here is what was broken.
Invoices did not survive the warranty. A ten-year warranty easily outlasts the receipt, the email confirmation, and sometimes even the retailer that issued it.
Customers could not identify their own mattress. The label is under bedding, on a seam, or facing a wall. There was literally nothing to type into a form.
Fake products were a real concern. In a multi-channel category, authenticity was impossible to verify after the sale.
Registration felt like paperwork. Presented as admin that benefits the brand, customers skipped it. Every time.
Neither brand had an owner database. A category that sells to a household once a decade was completely anonymous to its own buyers.
The Fix

Both brands made one fundamental shift. They stopped presenting registration as a form the brand needs and started presenting it as protection the customer unlocks.
Comfort Craft named their page "Product Authentication" with the heading "Ensure Genuine Product." Mattressoo listed Proof of Ownership and Product Authentication as direct benefits on their warranty registration page.
That reframing changed everything. Customers are not doing the brand a favor anymore. They are protecting their own purchase. And the record created through this flow is exactly what makes the warranty enforceable years later.
Three Dyrect modules power this across both brands:
QR Scan on the product. Every mattress has a QR code. The customer scans it with their phone. No serial number hunting. No typing from memory. The scan identifies the exact unit and kicks off registration instantly.
Registration as authentication. Mattressoo's page lists six customer benefits including Secure Warranty Protection, Easy Claim Verification, Priority Customer Support, Proof of Ownership, Product Authentication, and Hassle-Free Service Experience. Comfort Craft simply says "Scan & Register Your Mattress Now." Both pages make the same point. This is for you, not for us.
A branded portal to come back to. Comfort Craft's portal opens with two tiles. Activate Warranty and My Registered Products. That is the entire job. Mattressoo works the same way with a returning-customer login. The record belongs to the owner. They can check coverage anytime without contacting support.
Each brand runs these modules on its own subdomain. comfortcraft.dyrect.co and mattressoo.dyrect.co. The experience looks and feels like part of the brand's own website.
Here’s What Changed
Before Dyrect, proof of purchase depended on an invoice few customers still have years later. Owners had no identifier for their own mattress. Authenticity could only be assessed once a product was already in dispute. Registration read as paperwork, so buyers skipped it. The first contact with most buyers happened the moment something went wrong.
After Dyrect, a registration record ties the mattress, the purchase, and the owner together from day one. A scan registers the specific unit with nothing to type. Authentication happens while the customer is happy and motivated. The brand holds a direct relationship years before a claim, if one ever comes. And both brands run everything on their own branded portal.
For customers — scan, register, done. No serial numbers to find. No forms that feel like busywork. Coverage is visible in the portal anytime.
For the brands — the two questions that used to open every warranty claim are answered years in advance. Claims start from the actual issue instead of days of verification. And for the first time, both brands have a first-party owner database in a category where they were previously anonymous to their own buyers.
For the category — any brand selling a long-warranty product that households buy rarely and cannot easily identify faces the same problem. Furniture, bedding, water purifiers, modular kitchens, large appliances. Dyrect settles ownership and authenticity at the beginning so the hard questions are already answered by the time a claim shows up years later.
